The library and theater department are joining forces to start a coffee shop in the library. Coffee and hot chocolate will be for sale before school, between classes, at lunch, and for students working in the library. This student-led coffee shop will offer students the opportunity of learning the basics of running a successful business. Those basics include marketing, quality control, budgeting, scheduling, and other essential skills. All proceeds made from coffee sales will benefit the library and theater department. Libraries across the US that have implemented library coffee bars have reported that it does wonders for a library’s image and helps boost circulation. The addition of a coffee bar will truly be a win-win situation for our school!
