Open a book, open your mind! Help fill student reading bags with new colorful, engaging, developmentally appropriate books! My students need to practice their phonics, fluency, and comprehension skills. This project would be a great way to have books available in their reading range.
Our 1st-grade students would LOVE our library to have new books for them to choose from.
Right now, our books are old and falling apart. I guess you could say they have been well-loved. These new books would help our students during independent reading time where they need to practice fluency and comprehension. These would be used throughout the day by all the 1st-grade students. We have around 100 students who would benefit from these leveled readers. It would also allow the teacher to pull small groups of readers while the rest of her class stayed engaged. Thank you for considering filling our reading bags! I know my students would be SUPER grateful!
