This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I would like the teaching manual for the Foundations phonics program from the University of Florida Literacy. I am asking for the manual so my class can have the necessary tools, strategies, and access to an explicit and systematic program for teaching our first graders the foundational reading skills necessary for proficient reading. Foundations follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. We will use this program as the primary instruction for our small group to support all readers at all levels. This is one of the top resources for students to master phonics and our students would greatly benefit from receiving it. I am also requesting a TPT Gift card for additional resources to support instruction in the classroom.
