My Project

The books that I am requesting will be used within my sixth-grade reading/language arts classroom. Our school is one year old, and we are in need of classroom sets of novels to enjoy. My English classes found themselves engrossed in a novel for six weeks this past year. It was difficult for student who did not have a copy of their own to follow along and engage in class discussions.

The students love to have a copy of the book in front of them as they travel to another place in their mind or escape for a few minutes.

I want to foster a love for the actual printed book, as well as digital books. All of the chosen titles are books that have fostered a love of reading in students of this age.
