Help me give my students books that continue to grow student's love to read. Along with teacher supplies that create an organized classroom that helps all succeed.
To teach empathy, compassion, and understanding, students need to read books that allow them to see outside their own lives and recognize the humanity of other people. Being a diverse school, I want the books in my classroom to be both reflective of my students and a window into how others live. I hope that by purchasing culturally diverse books, I can help students build connections with themselves and those around them.
We are a classroom that cares for one another and reading books that showcase all of our differences creates that!
These books will allow students to practice the reading concepts and skills we are practicing. Using these skills in real-life reading situations will help make them more confident and grow in their reading. Also, instilling a love for reading is crucial to life becoming a lifelong reader and learner.
