Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A remarkable group of students will be entering the fifth grade this year. As they continue to learn and grow and I want to maintain that momentum this school year!

I chose high-interest books for this project, including graphic novels, books about animals, and stories that would catch their attention since the characters reflect people in our community.

These novels will draw students to the book shelves in our classroom and encourage a love of reading in them. As they get ready to become lifelong readers and learners, this initiative will help students in becoming more actively engaged with literature and nonfiction books.
