My Students

This is a general education classroom with students who can also potentially be on an Individualized Educational Plan. I have three students currently on those plans, however, that can change at any time. My class loves to read and explore! "Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way." -G.Evans

Our school always needs support and these kids totally deserve every bit of it!

My Project

We would love to include these wonderful books in our classroom library! Students need to read regularly in order to become proficient in language arts. While reading books for enjoyment, students improve their vocabulary, spelling and grammar skills. They are able to go on adventures, learn about faraway places, people, and experiences, all while the stories help their imagination grow! Books rich in diversity show people from many different backgrounds or facing different challenges. My students will greatly benefit from seeing and reading about people who are just like them, represented in pictures and literature, which will hopefully motivate young readers' hopes and ambitions!
