My favorite has been the laminator. We use it in the classroom with the older students who are able to laminate their favorite art to take home and display. In addition, they have been part of the process of making their own visual reminders used on their desks. When students can be a part of that process, they are more invested in using the materials so we see better follow-through with the visual reminders. The laminator has really opened up so many great new things for the students!\r\n\r\nHaving enough loop scissors has made scissor practice more accessible for more students on a regular basis and we are seeing our students grow their skills. Students who were just beginning to make snips in the side of paper are now cutting across paper because they have more chances to practice! The table top scissors have given students more independence during crafts and cutting activities. \r\n\r\nSmall manipulatives like the Squiggs and the Hedgehog game have made practicing fine motor skills more fun for the students. More fun equals longer practice and therefore stronger hands!\r\n\r\nThe small massage units which were donated have made it possible for some of our medically fragile students to experience a new level of muscle stimulation and we are seeing good results!\r\n\r\nAll in all , it has been an exciting time since we received all the items donated.
