Help me give my students the LOVE of reading! Our Kindergarten classrooms need books to help boost our young readers! The book carts with leveled readers will give the students many titles to fall in love with reading!
Our Kindergarten students are a beautifully diverse group of learners. Many of our students come to our Kindergarten with English as their second language as well diverse socio economic needs. All of these qualities certainly makes our Kindergarten a culturally diverse place for learning to happen.
Our students need to have a classroom that's inviting, comfortable and engaging for the best learning to happen.
As Kindergarten teachers it's our job to get our students hooked into learning and to make them feel safe and in return they will be engaged learners!
My Project
The book carts and fiction leveled library will be used daily to increase reading levels of our young readers! The inviting books are leveled, and with the rolling cart system, our Kindergartners will be able to easily place the books in the correct book bin building independence and responsibility.
The benefits of the fictional library are endless... students will learn sight words, story elements and decoding words while learning reading fictional stories which will build empathy and kindness.
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that we as Kindergarten teachers strive to create. The leveled library will add excitement to our classrooms for many years to come!
