My Project
My kindergartners are a bright and inquisitive group, and they love to learn! I try every day to provide my students with learning experiences that are engaging, and will give them opportunities to practice the skills that they need to master in order to be confident readers and writers. I challenge them to try their best each day, and to keep trying. My students know that in our classroom, we can do hard things! My kindergartners have many different learning needs, and different students need practice with different skills. I try every day to provide options to meet the needs of each different learner in my classroom.
The materials requested from Lakeshore Learning will provide literacy center activities that students can work on while I am meeting with individuals and small groups of learners; some students will work on rhyming and identifying beginning and ending sounds, while others may work on reading and writing CVC words and sentences with blends and digraphs. Having engaging, hands-on activities to meet each student where they are is crucial as I help them continue to build their literacy skills to become strong readers and writers.
