Students at our school are excited to learn and have lots of energy to explore with. They love to create and are always exploring new learning avenues.
This year, our community has been rattled by Hurricane Harvey but through it all, students and community members have been working together to gain a better understanding of the world around them.
My students have such a passion for learning. By incorporating creative and hands-on materials with strong mentor texts, they will be able to learn through exploration and creation. These kids have such great futures ahead of them!
My Project
These primary lined composition books and take home reading pouches will help provide developmentally appropriate literacy tools for my students. Students will be able to share their reading with families at home by taking home classroom books in their pouch. They will also have access to journals that help promote handwriting and letter formation.
This year Hurricane Harvey caused us to have an unconventional start to the school year and we have been working hard to build classroom community and collaboration skills ever since!
The journals will be an important part of building our writing skills throughout the school year and will be used across our curriculum from science and math to reading, writing, and social studies.
