Kindergarten is such a fun and busy place! We have 20 children in our class, 11 boys and 9 girls. We live in a rural area on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We are not too far from our state capital, Annapolis.
My students are curious and ready to learn!
Five and six year old children are amazing. Their ability to learn, love, and adapt is wonderful. They genuinely love coming to school and love others no matter what. We work as one big happy family, celebrating our successes, as well as working through our defeats.
My Project
My students love to learn and explore during center time. Having sturdy, good quality materials would make this time much more enjoyable. During center time children are actively involved in their own learning. This allows them to work at their own pace with no pressure of getting something done on time. These materials would help me give my students more choices during center time to enhance their learning.
The benefits of centers are endless!
It gives them the opportunity to work with their peers or independently. They can challenge themselves in unique ways as well as show their creativity. Learning centers allow them to explore new things, investigate the hows and the whys, and discover new connections to their prior knowledge.
