My Project
I have been trying to collect books that are of a higher reading level and non-fiction books for my fifth-graders, but it takes time and money. My students have been asking me for certain books like Harry Potter, Dork Diaries, and the What Was and Who Was books. Being a new teacher I started off the year with only a few books and I actually thought I was teaching second grade, then I got moved to fifth grade. Being an English teacher, and having a passion for reading myself, I would like my students to have books that will instill a love of reading within them as well.
