My Students

My students often have to place their art work around the room to dry. Because of this the art work sometimes gets damaged.

I teach wonderful Kindergarten students who would rather paint pictures all day than anything else.

These students live in a rural community with little art resources. They do go to art once a week but I believe that is not enough time so I incorporate an art center into my classroom.

My Project

Though art, my Kindergarten students gain fine motor skills as well as creativity. As the student finishes an art project, he or she will learn to place it in the drying rack to not only let it dry but to protect it from damage as well. Having the students learn this routine will teach them responsibility for their own work and how to take care of it.

It makes me sad when I see a student's hard work get damaged because I don't have a proper area to let it dry.

With an art drying rack, I will be able to protect the students work that they are so proud of creating.
