For Our Future Computer Scientists

Help me give my students Osmo products to spark our students’ creativity and allow them to explore the world of computer scientists through coding activities.

My Students

We thank you for taking the time to look at our request; we appreciate your time, help and support. We teach first grade in a Title I school, located in Richmond Hill, NY, with over 50% of our students living below the poverty line.

Our class is an integrated co-teaching class, which consists of special education students, mixed with English Language Learners and general education students.

We provide a classroom where no child feels isolated because of their special needs.

My Project

These materials will allow our students to have their first experience in computer science. The materials requested will allow our students to take the first steps in coding. Our students will be able to get priceless hands-on experiences through these requested materials.

Students will apply their coding skills through all content areas, such as reading and writing, through creating stories using their coding skills, finding problems and solutions, counting, logical thinking, cause and effect, and sequencing skills.

Students will also enhance their problem solving and critical thinking skills as a computer scientists and apply their learning to real-world problems.
