This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you want to see the world through a 5th graders eyes? The power of a camera can enlighten the lives of the students in my classroom as they express themselves through photographs.

My students are scholars who thirst for opportunities that will change their lives and excite them to learn.

They are English Language learners who are eager to grow in their speaking, reading and writing abilities. These students are deserving of deep and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

The use of a class camera will provide students with the opportunity to take pictures of things and people that matter to them. Each picture will be accompanied by a description or student quote that will inspire them to appreciate the world that surrounds them in a different way.

This project is important because my inner city kids need the opportunity to express themselves through a different medium.

A class camera will facilitate this artistic expression and motivate them to own their opinions and expressive thought.
