My Students

Kindergarten is such a fun and busy place! We have 20 children in our class, 11 boys and 9 girls. 25% of my students receive free and reduced lunches. I have children in my class from single parent homes, two parent homes, and those that are being raised by their grandparents. All of my children are English speaking, however, two of my children live in Spanish speaking homes and are bilingual. We live in a rural area on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We are not too far from our state capital, Annapolis. The school I work in is a PreK - 2nd grade school. We have approximately 550 students that enter our doors every day. Each one of them brings with them different personal stories and needs. We have a very dedicated staff that works together to ensure the success of all of our students.

My students are curious and ready to learn!

Five and six year old children are amazing. Their ability to learn, love, and adapt is wonderful. They genuinely love coming to school and love others no matter what. We work as one big happy family, celebrating our successes, as well as working through our defeats.

My Project

Science is a very high interest subject for children. These Science File Folder Games include activities for Earth Science, Physical Science, and Life Science. They are the perfect companion for what we are learning in the classroom. Engineering is another big hit in the classroom. We are always incorporating fun and engaging STEM activities for the children. The Brick Building STEM Challenge Kit is perfect for this! They will have so much fun constructing a bridge for a car to cross or creating a fun marble maze.

These easy to use, hands on activities will help to enhance the love of science for all children!

These file folder games are colorful and engaging. The children will love to do these activities during center time or as a take home activity for homework. The hands on activities in the Brick Building Challenge will challenge them while they are working on physical science. Thank you for your help in bringing these activities in to my classroom!
