This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The padding that football girdles provide is required in order to be legally equipped to play. We are gaining momentum with our program, as a result our participation numbers are growing and so is our need for equipment. Due to the socioeconomic situation of many of our students, we provide everything needed to participate in football. We never want a student athlete to not participate because they cannot afford equipment.
Our generous community helps us remove financial barriers that would prevent participation.
Participation in extra curricular activities has been shown to have a positive impact on student achievement, behavior and the school culture as a whole.
