About My Students

The amazing students submitting this project are Diego, Aksel, Ephraim, and David. These soon to be high schoolers are smart, funny, hard-working, and, in their own words, creative. They value helping out and PE, and they want to put their values to good use! They are thoughtful and caring individuals who want to make a difference in our classroom and our school.

These boys LOVE PE, and in this project, they really show how much they care about sports and health. As part of their Language Arts class, they decided to write a grant for footballs. They want to make their classes more fun, so they are asking for supplies so that more people can play at once.

My students are studying how art reflects values. They are using their Language Arts skills to write grants that reflect their own personal values. These students value health, fitness and fun, and they hope to use their persuasive writing to convince you to support their grant that provides footballs for PE. This group is really thinking beyond themselves and showing their love for our school. What's more, in preparing this project these students are using 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Thank you for taking the time to read these students' grant. If you value sports, health and helping out, this is the project for you!

In Their Own Words

Our Project idea is that we are going to get more sports equipment for P.E. One of the ideas is to get footballs and an air pump. We think we need footballs because the old ones have fake grip, fake rubber, and the centers are too thick. The ones we have are pretty old, too. So, we want to help out PE and our school by getting new footballs and a good pump to keep the balls pumped up. Also, if we have more footballs, more people can play at once and learn skills to be good in football.

We are the leader because we came up with the idea for getting footballs for P.E., and we iare in charge of what kind off footballs that we're getting. We are also the leaders because we wanted to make a difference in how we use the footballs in P.E. We are also the leaders because we noticed that the kids with A.D.D are bored with the equipment that we have so we thought footballs would help make a difference.

Footballs and pumps are important because there are not that many to use in P.E. The pumps can be used to pump up the used ones faster and more efficiently. Also, if we have the pumps and new footballs there would be more participants during P.E. instead of lots of people sitting and not doing the activity. This project makes sure that more people participate in the sport.
