Help me give my students tools and resources to incorporate Foodie Fun Friday during the school year. Our foodie Friday cooking will allow students to incorporate science, math, reading and many more skills into their cooking skills.
My students are very special in our classroom. They add light, positivity, and kindness. My students backgrounds do not allow for them to experience things in the world and most importantly even in our community. Even though they struggle in their home lives they always come to school prepared and ready to learn. We are friends in the classroom and provide a safe, positive environment. They are excited to learn new things and make connections with their learning and to their own lives.
My Project
Foodie Fun Friday will allow students in our class to work on social skills while incorporating standards. Students learn best when they are able to use their 5 senses. Students will use these tools to help make snacks that relate to what we are learning or a book we have read. These donations will give our students the opportunity to be involved with active learning. Students will learn to use social skills to communicate and discuss ideas. Foodie Fun Friday will also give the students the opportunity to relate to different cultures of the classroom.
