Help me give my students a good quality snack. We have a 5 hour gap between breakfast and lunch. My growing kiddos need a snack! This project would give them all a snack everyday!

My Students

I am a second-year teacher trying to get started for success. I graduated from in May 2019 and I am a STEM certified teacher as well! The kids at my school are part of a high-needs school corporation in Indiana. They are held to high expectations and my goal is for them to have an amazing 4th grade experience. I want them to learn to love school! It is so important that they do so they have a positive outlook on their educational foundation! I am extremely passionate about teaching in creative ways. I love using hands-on learning and centers in my classroom.

I went into teaching so that I could help students who learn differently than most, like myself.

I hope to have an amazing and comforting classroom. My students are from a very low income area. There are many things I am requesting that would help fill their basic needs. They also need to have different ways to learn so they can remain engaged. My class specifically, needs a lot of movement and I am hoping to use this as a positive to help enhance their learning experience and love of school.

My Project

I teach 4th grade in a low income area. My kids are at a peak of growing and they are always hungry! They are such a wonderful group of kids that are struggling to do their best due to being hungry.

My class has a 5 hour gap between breakfast and lunch and they have so much difficulty learning due to hunger.

Giving to this project would allow my students to learn and focus at school. I work very hard to make plans that are engaging for them. However, we all know, it is hard to do anything while you are hungry.
