My Students

My students are awesome! I teach at a Philadelphia Public School that qualifies for Title I funding. My entire class qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students live in a single parent household and some of them are being cared for by a foster family or extended family members.

Despite the challenges my students face, they come each day with a great attitude.

Many of them have faced hardships that you would never want any child to ever experience. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn and progress.

My Project

My students often tell me when they arrive at school and breakfast is not available. It is important that their day begins with a meal that fuels them until lunch. Many of my students go without breakfast if they do not arrive in time or if something is offered that triggers allergy. I would love to have snacks to give to hungry students when they do not have breakfast or it is not enough to fill their stomachs.

The snacks and water from this project will allow my students to focus on learning!

It is difficult to focus on school lessons if your stomach is growling or you need a drink. Your donations to this project will fill a stomach and fuel a brain.
