This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my Food Science class have been tasked with the challenge of growing food to satisfy our class guinea pigs, Remy and Linguini. They decided, through independent research that the most efficient way to accomplish their goal is through the use of hydroponics. In growing fresh vegetables for our guinea pigs, these students will explore cellular respiration, energy transfer, and food systems. My students really motivated by any hands on experience, growing vegetables in our classroom would be an impactful one. Please, help me facilitate learning around food and give them a fresh and exciting memory in our classroom.
