This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children need food in their bellies in order for them to concentrate during instructional time. My class of students are newcomers to the country at a Title One School. The snacks requested will provide them with something to munch on during the five hours between breakfast and lunch. Our class is the last one scheduled to eat lunch and my kids grumbling stomachs create a chorus of hunger pangs by mid morning. This is usually followed by them telling me that they are hungry and asking if I have anything to eat.
