My Students

My classroom consists of 22 ambitious third graders. They are coming to me from a diversified community. We are a Title I school with many students coming from underprivileged households. This should not define them but it does affect them. School is a safe and stable place to learn and grow.

Big changes this year, new grade level and new school.

This is my first year teaching 3rd grade after teaching 1st grade for six years. I am so excited to start my new journey this fall. I will do whatever I can to help foster this learning.

My Project

I have 22 students in my class, and only about half of them bring a snack each day. I have a few students that don't eat breakfast before they get to school. I have been able to supply snack from time to time but it can get costly.

Providing my students with snacks will help support their basic needs and help them focus on learning.

If you are hungry it can be hard to focus on learning, like listening to a lesson or completing an activity. Snack time might be a small moment in our day but it is very important to supporting learning.
