I have a very diverse group of kids in family backgrounds, interests, and abilities.
There are some that are able to read from the day they step into my classroom and others who are still struggling with basic letter sounds. Differentiating my lessons is very important so that I can reach each and every one of my students. By allowing students to review those skills they need, they will be more prepared for 1st grade.
My school has a high number of students who receive free and reduced lunches. Even with their daily struggles, my students come into my classroom eager and ready to learn. They are a very creative and imaginative group of students.
These students often do not see technology at home. They are incredibly sweet kids who want to learn. They love school and get very excited about everything we do. My goal is to give each student the opportunity to learn in a "hands-on" way daily to help enhance their learning.
My Project
Healthy snacks will increase learning abilities in the classroom throughout the day. The snacks can boost their energy level for learning. Snacks enable the students to become more engaged in classroom activities, help students to grow and develop more skills in the classroom, and can help promote fewer behavior problems.
Throughout the day many students are more focused on their hunger than learning.
These nutritional snacks will make sure the students can think effectively. When the day starts off right there is no stopping our potential. Snacks help students focus on what they need to in the classroom with less anxiety and a growth mindset.
