This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project brings snacks to our classroom to keep our minds focused on learning. My school has 90% of students from low-income/poverty levels. Hunger distracts students from learning, but having snacks to help curb their hunger helps them focus and do better in class. These snacks are essential for many of my students who do not eat lunch and need a snack before and after school. We would be so grateful for the opportunity to provide them with a choice of snacks. A growling tummy does not allow for concentration and focus, so having these snacks on hand is essential. We would greatly appreciate the support in helping provide my students with tasty snacks. These snacks will help our success in the classroom immensely.
