This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are reaching out to ask for your continued generosity in helping us provide light meals, snacks, and drinks for our Friday food bags, which are sent home with 300 elementary students each week. These bags go to children in grades Pre-K through 4th, ensuring they have enough food to get through the weekend. It’s a simple yet crucial way to combat food insecurity for our youngest learners, especially as they prepare for the week ahead.

Nearly two years ago, we launched this initiative after realizing how many of our students arrived at school on Monday mornings hungry, often due to lack of access to food over the weekend.

With your support, we’ve been able to make a significant impact, and together, we are now directly addressing this issue, ensuring that no matter where our students lay their heads at night, they will be nourished and ready to learn.

Your donation of light meals, snacks, and drinks will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children, helping them grow and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
