My Project
I am an ESOL teacher in a high poverty school. Our students face challenges every day, in and out of the classroom. Our job is to make school a safe learning space where students have the necessary tools and items to be successful and develop a lifelong love of learning.
I am looking to get some snacks for our classroom to give our students some fuel for their brains.
Many of my students do not have the ability to bring a snack every day to school. To have them available in the classroom will be a huge help and put the students at ease knowing that they have food available. We know how hard it is to focus on an empty stomach. Some of the snacks I'm hoping to get are chewy bars, goldfish, granola bars, and other healthy snacks. This will help students maintain focus during the day in between breakfast and lunch.
