My Project

My students are growing teenagers who persevere through difficult times, but math is not one of them. They need some motivation. We have block scheduling at our high school; that makes their attention to math even worse. They are in class 90 minutes or longer every day. A snack throughout math class would go along way in engagement and motivation.

When their stomach is empty so are their brains.

I also tutor students after school. That 2 hour block after school with no food weighs on them. When their stomachs are growling their brains are growling, and not in a good way.
