This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are seeking donations to purchase preserved sheep hearts for our high school Human Anatomy class. This hands-on dissection experience will give students an up-close look at the structure and function of the heart—one of the most vital and fascinating organs in the human body.

Sheep hearts closely resemble human hearts in anatomy, making them an ideal teaching tool.

Through dissection, students will identify chambers, valves, arteries, and veins while gaining a deeper understanding of how blood flows through the body. This engaging experience not only reinforces textbook learning but also helps students connect scientific concepts to real-life biology.

Your generous support will help provide preserved specimens, dissection trays, gloves, and safety materials so every student can participate safely and meaningfully. With your help, we can bring science to life and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists.
