This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year is the first year that our dual language program has been able to offer folklorico dancing to our students. It is one of our most popular after school clubs! We are in our fifth year of our dual language program and are so excited that we are able to bring this cultural activity to all students at our school.

Folklorico is not just dancing, Folklorico is stories being told-generation after generation.

Our students will be excited to share with their friends and families the dances they have learned this school year. They have their first huge presentation coming soon in celebration of Dia Del Nino (day of the child).
