Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are usually very social and talkative when entering the classroom, but they settle down after eating breakfast in the classroom. After breakfast, our day will begin with small group instruction followed by our daily Spanish oral skills. Then, we transition into our writing block where the students continue to learn the writing process. Starting in the 3rd grade, it is essential for the students to learn all three genres (informational, narrative, and opinion) since it will be assessed in the state testing. Afterwards, English or Spanish Language Arts complete the morning tasks before heading out to recess.
The folding bookcases will keep our increasing library books well organize.
The folding 3-tier bookcases are needed to help organize the library books. The classroom library books are currently in baskets. The students are having difficulty finding a particular book because the books when are returned are placed in the incorrect place. In order for the books to stay nicely organized and not falling off the book shelves, book shelves ends will be ideally used to keep all the books coordinated.
