My Students
My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. A challenge my students face is providing their own supplies for the classroom.
By providing supplies, we are empowering students to be able to learn, and feel confident they have what they need for school.
A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, other family members' and friends' homes, and hotels/motels. These students and families may not have the financial freedoms to provide extra resources above and beyond what is in the school already. By helping provide resources for the students, you are allowing the students to be successful in the class.
My Project
These supplies will be used for teachers and students during this time of remote learning. The supplies will help stay organized while working at home or in person.
By giving the students and teachers pens and file folders, they will be able to create a space to learn while at home and at school that is their own.
They will have file folders for each curriculum area to keep the tasks and activities organized. The pens will help ensure they have supplies to keep up the learning and teaching during this time.
