My Project

In response to the unique challenges faced by ADHD students in traditional classroom settings, the "FocusMotion" project introduces swivel chairs customized to their needs. These chairs provide movement, promoting focus, engagement, and sensory regulation.

Goals for the Project:

My primary objective is to establish an inclusive learning environment that fosters academic success and holistic development for ADHD students. We aim to:

Enhance Learning Outcomes: By providing ADHD students with tailored seating options, I seek to improve their academic performance and participation in classroom activities.

Foster Independence: Through the use of office chairs vs traditional classroom chairs, I aim to empower ADHD students to take control of their learning environment and develop greater independence in managing their attention and behavior.

Promote Inclusivity: The project endeavors to promote inclusivity within the school community by recognizing and accommodating the diverse needs of all students, including those with ADHD.

Educate and Raise Awareness: By implementing this initiative, I hope to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by ADHD students and advocate for more inclusive practices in education.

What Makes Our Students Special?

My students are a diverse group, all of them have IEP's. Each student brings unique strengths, interests, and challenges to the classroom. What sets them apart is their resilience, creativity, and unwavering determination to succeed despite obstacles. Our ADHD students, in particular, possess boundless energy and curiosity that, when harnessed effectively, can lead to remarkable achievements.

The "FocusMotion" project is committed to creating a supportive environment for ADHD students through tailored seating solutions. By enhancing their focus, engagement, and overall learning experience, we aim to empower their growth and success in both academic and personal endeavors.
