Room 306 is an energetic room filled with 25 amazing 4th graders.

They range in ages of 9 to 12 years old. All different economic upbringings as well as all types of personalities. Each student different but all similar in what they expect of their futures. Each child comes to school with one goal in common, to feel successful.

My Project

The document camera projects students work, reading passages, small items, and demonstrations. This gives the teacher the flexibility to show work by students who model objectives for the assignments. Students can use the camera to present their work building confidence and presentation skills, explaining what they are showing. As a teacher, there are many times during a day that a document camera would help me give vivid descriptions of what is needed to complete the assignments, provide encouragement, give students opportunities to show their work and explain how they did the assignment.

In today's world, students are surrounded by technology.

With this additional piece in the classroom, students will be able to gain the confidence to speak in front of peers and become the lesson rather than listen to the lesson. There are many types of learners and the document camera will help the visual, auditory and kinetic. "For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them."
