My students need flexible seating for when they have table time with the teacher. During table time we work on specific skill gaps. Students need to be able to focus as much as possible.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is not typical. Every day the students have no idea how they are going to learn. I like to reach all learners through a variety of methods. I also like to use real life experiences so that the students can connect to the Math and find it relevant.

They leave excited!

My students range from age 9-12. There are white, black, and Hispanic students. My school consist of 5th and 6th grade in a small town were the main industry is furniture factories. We have approximately 350 students. We have a very high free and reduced lunch population.

My Project

My students have table time with me where we work on specific skill gaps. This is a very crucial time for students to grow! Students need to be very focused and engaged during this time to maximize learning. Flexible seating makes this possible!

By using flexible seating students are able to engage and fully focus on closing skill gaps.

This will help my students to grow mathematically by closing those learning gaps! By closing math gaps students are able to move on with learning new material at a better pace. Students who are able to move at a pace with no gaps tend to fall further behind. I want every student to be able to move at pace where they can learn as much as possible.
