This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me give my students an a more calming, comfortable, and yummy state testing environment.
I want to make sure that all my students feel comfortable and ready to take the big state test by being able feed them everyday of testing and make sure that they are not hungry.
Additionally, headphones are in short supply in my classroom and I could use a few more pairs for state testing. Even if students do not have listening accommodations, most of them like to wear the headphones anyway as it gives them a quieter environment. This also means that students with listening accommodations do not feel singled out because everyone has a pair of headphones.
Lastly, last year I borrowed some privacy folders from another teacher (who is no longer at my site) and the students loved using them for testing and feeling like they have their own private little bubble to work in. Anything I can do to make the testing process run more smoothly and seem less frightening for students is something I want to work towards.
