Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have many active learners this school year that have a hard time completing work and staying focused. They are in a constant need to move. The sensory fidgets, chair bands and wobbly cushions would help my students stay more focused in class and cause less disruptions.

Since COVID-19 my students experienced a lack of social interactions and now struggle to express their emotions and feelings in appropriate ways.

The book series "A Little Spot" would benefit my students so much. This will help me provide lessons and dialogue for my students to discuss how to be kind to one another and how to be good friends to one another.

Materials such as the writing journals, colorful card stock and sharpie markers will be a great addition to social and emotional learning lessons.
