My Students

I am blessed with a group of 26 active second grade learners whose minds continue to move in so many directions of interest. This year my students have begun researching subjects of personal choice in addition to our normal standards and skills.

Since we are learning so many new things each day and time is limited to the school day, we keep learning moving throughout the day with varied activities and numerous movement breaks.

After moving, students are rejuvenated and ready to continue exercising the mind.

My Project

Helping 7 and 8 years old learners focus energy on learning through movement is essential! Often times students feel fidgety and need to move. As an educator, it is my responsibility to provide a positive learning environment where all learners can thrive!

Providing a physically and mentally active learning environment is important for many students to reach his/her fullest potential in education.

Keeping the body and mind active helps students to focus energy on learning instead of trying to keep still. I feel that learning can and should happen in environments that allow movement so that students get the most out of his/her experiences. This is why this project is for six wobble chairs.
