My Project
In my classroom, I see bright, eager students ready to learn—but hunger and distractions often stand in their way. Many of my students come from low-income households where food insecurity is a daily struggle. They arrive at school hungry, making concentrating and absorbing lessons difficult. A simple snack can make all the difference, giving them the energy to stay focused and engaged throughout the day.
In addition to hunger, distractions like phones and uncharged devices can disrupt learning.
A secure phone holder will help students stay focused by keeping their devices out of reach during lessons. At the same time, providing charging stations will ensure that those who rely on school devices can fully participate in digital learning without worrying about dead batteries. These small changes will create a more structured, distraction-free environment where students can give their best effort.
To further encourage engagement, rewards, and incentives for participation will motivate students to take an active role in their education. Expo markers will allow them to collaborate on problem-solving activities, fostering creativity and teamwork.
My students are determined and capable, but they need support to overcome the challenges they face.
