Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have three special needs classes that are active and respectful. I always have to think outside the box to keep them busy and focused. The stilt stools and weighted stuffed animals I am asking for will help them stay in one spot for an extended period and focus.

Focusing is the key to getting my students to pay attention.

I have a few active things they can play with, but I need more. High school students get bored quickly, and we are again at the starting point of finding things to keep them busy.

I am adding weighted stuffed animals to the class to keep them busy and focused. I am surprised that the students asked me to get them another bear for the class. Some like to hold the one I have now while doing their work, so I am trying to get another one for them to share.
