My Project
The specific items requested for the Focus Room Sports Project will make a difference in students' learning by providing exercise opportunities that boost serotonin and endorphin levels to help students feel regulated. The cerebellum portion of the brain becomes activated and sends signals for the body to adjust and move. In addition, exercise improves memory by increasing molecular targets like the brain-derived neurotrophic factor. In the process of trying to make a basketball shoot or trying to coordinate a ping pong ball to go over the net, many parts of the cerebellum are being activated.
