My Project
Capturing the heart of a school year requires more than just words—it takes powerful images that freeze memories in time. Our yearbook club works hard to photograph every game-winning goal, school dance, pep rally, and club meeting. But right now, our camera is limited by a basic lens that doesn't allow us to zoom in on the action or create professional-quality photos. With a new camera lens, we can take our yearbook to the next level, ensuring every student feels seen and celebrated in the pages we create.
This lens won’t just be for snapping better pictures—it will be a hands-on learning tool.
Students will gain real-world experience in photography by experimenting with depth of field, focus, composition, and lighting. They’ll learn how to use camera settings to get the best shots and how a lens can completely change the perspective of a photo. These are skills that support both creative and technical growth, opening doors for future interest in media, journalism, and digital arts.
Yearbook club is a safe, creative space where students collaborate, share ideas, and express themselves. Having the right tools—like a new camera lens—can spark even more excitement and pride in their work. It empowers them to take ownership of documenting school history, encouraging teamwork, attention to detail, and artistic vision. This lens will help students not only see the world differently through the camera, but also feel inspired to tell stories that matter.
Please help us "focus on the future" by giving our students the tools they need to capture their school memories with clarity, confidence, and joy!
