Help me give my students an atmosphere that fosters focus, engagement, and accountability. We are seeking funding to implement a secure cell phone storage solution that will address the pervasive issue of smartphone distraction.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We envision a transformative change through the implementation of a secure cell phone storage system that will allow students to focus their attention on classroom tasks, rather that the potential social media posts, likes and messages.
This solution will not only create a safe and designated space for students to store their phones during class hours but also instill a sense of responsibility and accountability in their device usage.
By eliminating the temptation of instant access to their phones, we believe students will be more engaged in their learning and better equipped to achieve their academic goals, as well as creating a limit to social media/screen time which has been shown to have detrimental effects on young people's mental health.
