This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a K-1 Autistic class at Hughes Elementary. We focus on controlling our body and focusing our attention during every part of our day. Most of my students have lowered adaptive skills and so we use repetitions in all areas of the class. The only way we can do this is by using fidgets. Help give my students the necessary fidgets and rewards to help at the SEL stations that are in our class.
When students have the necessary items in a classroom, they are able to excel and met all of their goals.
