My kindergarten class is in Northeast Florida in a rapidly growing county. I have 18 children in an inclusion class that works closely with the special education teacher. The children, who are 5 and 6 years old, are developing a true love of learning. They are very excited to learn as much as possible through lots of hands-on activities. A most important part of our activities involve developing our sharing skills. The materials donated through this project will be used to help reach our language arts, writing, math and technology goals.
My students need every opportunity to become fluent with numbers and mathematical relationships. The concept of numbers and truly understanding numerical values can be a challenge for young learners. My kindergarten students can meet this challenge with concrete, hands on math materials.
An ETA hand2mind Daily Math Fluency Kit for kindergarten will allow my students to develop a strong understanding of counting and basic math concepts.
The kit will help them become successful with various math concepts and classes throughout their educational careers. We will be building a strong foundation of basic math skills to help them become successful learners.
