Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the proud teacher of a 2nd grade Dual Language class. I find that many of my students are improving nicely in their reading fluency and comprehension. They are voracious readers who need more literature options.

I am requesting books that will support them in improving their knowledge and skills while reading for enjoyment.

Thus, I have requested an array of fiction and nonfiction books in both Spanish and English. I believe that the books I am including on this list will tailor to their needs and support their continued growth. I am especially looking forward to my students having the butterfly books since we get to see their life cycle in action every year. These titles will connect to the curriculum while providing my class with books they will love to read.
