I knew that I could provide more manipulative and cognitive development for my students and I started researching 'table top' activities. A fellow teacher told me about Donor Choose and helped me order specific table top activities. The week I put the items on the table to play with, I had to remind my students multiple times to 'go and get your books.' The students did not want to leave their table and their new activities. \r\nI use the materials on a daily basis with all grade levels, (PK-5th). My second graders love the tiles and making a variety of shapes. In the beginning, they used the cards and now they are making their own designs and want me to take a picture of their new project. \r\nThe cash register is a great hit. The younger ones are matching coins. I am using it with my 4th and 5th graders to practice purchasing items at a concession stand and they must figure out how much their items cost and how much money will they get back. This grade level attends games with concessions and with the casher register- they are practicing real world scenarios and having a wonderful time.
