Our amazing students are eager to learn and always try their best! Every morning they enter the classroom focused and ready to take on the days new and exciting learning adventures. They come to school ready to focus on the day. We begin our learning adventure by singing calendar songs, reading the agenda as a class and conducting experiments. Music and movement are an absolute must. The children love to dance to the Learning Station and Kids Bop during brain breaks. The students are very self-motivated, creative, and use digital citizenship respectively. Our kindergartners make everyday special with tons of hugs, smiles, laughs, and thinking about others. This learning environment could make any teachers’ heart happy!
My Project
Spring is just around the corner and our students are beginning to notice insects everywhere. The students are inquisitive and some are quite nervous of bugs. We would like to educate our students about the important role insects play in our environment.
Imagine being five years old and seeing the life cycle process of a butterfly first hand!
Students will learn the real life problem that Earth needs insects. Students enjoy drawing beautiful butterflies, but they do not see the importance of caterpillars in our environment. In past years when students see caterpillars on the playground, they have smashed the insect.
With your help, we can teach students about life cycles using a STEM approach. We are also hoping this project will encourage careers in the field of science such as entomologists!
